President/Owner
Frank White Senior laid the foundation for Whites in 1956, establishing Canada's first wetsuit manufacturing company and pioneering North America's first drysuit manufacturing operation.
James Griffiths
CEO/Owner
James has had a diverse career, starting with Bare Sportswear where he played a pivotal role in establishing their operations in Malta. After this initial stint, he joined Whites over two decades ago, transitioning into product development.
Robert Mark
Plant Manager
For over 30 years, Rob has been working in the drysuit manufacturing industry. Rob’s background has strengthened the team with his knowledge of construction methods, material evaluation and development. As the plant manager, he oversees
purchasing, production and quality.
Trevor Kirby
Military Specialist
Trevor's journey into the diving industry is rooted in his early fascination with nature and a pivotal experience snorkeling in the Red Sea. This experience ignited his passion for diving, leading him to pursue a career in the field shortly after graduating.
Liz Keating
Sr Designer
Liz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Western Washington University. She is a seasoned product designer with over 20 years of experience specializing in surface and diving gear. Her extensive background includes a deep understanding of both organizational and consumer needs across diverse markets.
Laura Hutchison
Designer/Patternmaker
Laura holds a degree in Fashion Design and Technology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where she developed a solid foundation in her field. Over the past nine years, she has focused her career on the technical marine industry, specializing in the design and production of exposure wear.
John Drewniak
Public Safety & Commercial Program Manager
John Drewniak has dedicated over three decades to advancing the safety of drysuits used in contaminated water diving, serving prominently at Whites Drywear. His multifaceted career encompasses sales leadership, collaborative efforts in shaping industry standards, and delivering compelling presentations at conferences and seminars.
Paul André Mongeau
Recreational Sales Manager
Paul André's diving journey began decades ago on the northern coast of the St. Laurent River, where he was immersed in a rich natural environment. In these cold waters, with temperatures rarely rising above 2°C (35°F), drysuits became essential for exploration.

With experience ranging from 1 year to an impressive 30+ years in building drysuits, the Whites Drywear production team is undoubtedly among the most skilled in the industry. Their combined expertise spans various aspects of drysuit construction, encompassing materials selection, design, manufacturing techniques, and quality control. Such extensive experience ensures that they bring deep knowledge and proficiency to their craft, contributing significantly to the production of high-quality drysuits that meet the demands of divers worldwide.
